If we're cherry picking schools sure but a lot of the HS have awful scores on great school.

Cherry picking? The PP suggested 22152 for a good balance in schools and home prices. There is one high school in 22152 and that's WSHS. All of those schools serve that zip code.

OP, here are some newer THs around $700K. Schools are considered good - Marshall pyramid. I only searched in 22043, so all are near either WFC or Dunn Loring metros.
