Amen!
I am not afraid to dress for my age. As I get older, I don't mind spending more for quality, comfort and style.
My phases of; finding myself, finding a man, having babies are over. It's ridiculous to dress like one. I do not need to advertise like a flower to a bee.

Anonymous wrote:PP, yes, you are missing something. Look at the fit of those pants. There’s no style to that, and no decent fit if you are in decent shape.
It’s still frump wear IMO. Those getting all up in their feelings about how they can find amazing things anywhere: I doubt it. The reason brands like J Brand or similar ever got play was because the fit and therefore the look is superior. Unless you’re a pretty gifted tailor or have one, dumpy trousers don’t look like pants designed to fit, not hide.
The Chicos sizing must have been developed as an ego balm. You’re not a size 14, you’re a 2.5! Now drape yourself in long necklaces like a saloon lampshade. Much style!

Just flood pants. Is that ok by you?
Huh? I buy Talbots in tall lengths with a 36" inseam. And they have a long hem. Unless you are 6'4" that should work.
Same here. I was a Talbots proponent on the other thread. And I only buy my work pants there because I’m 5’11” and their 36” works much better than most places 34”
I wear more casual wear and things like these chinos have a 28” inseam at the most

Am I missing something ? Offering some pants in my size and others not just makes me mad.
Yes--you are missing the fact that these are on sale and they have already sold out of other sizes in your choice. Sometimes, they will have a blouse I like for a great price--but it is only available in XS.
Their sales are terrific, though. Especially, if you can find what you like on final clearance.
Anonymous wrote:The people who say they’ll never wear X brand or make a sweeping statement that X brand is terrible have no real style. I can find an item I like and style it to work for me at almost any store. Sure everything from every store won’t work for me but if you insist you can’t make items work for you simply because they’re from X store you just have no style or creativity.
