Lol!! Pretty funny!![]()
Still, I'd like to know about FCV. I'm not sure we made the right decision this year.

Thanks for the serious answer. It seems Spirit Virginia takes the DA obligation more seriously than Spirit Maryland. So, someone else asked why would anyone not in the club this year care? Well, if use your brain before running your mouth, you'd probably figure it out. I am not going to do it for you.
Oh, yet another resident dcum forum genius. Your purpose is crystal clear with all the anti-Spirit vitriol posted here. Since you are so interested in Spirit, why don't you come to the next regular practice so we can have a full and lively discussion.
Honestly, on this anonymous forum, you can't possibly tell who is who. Did it never occur to you that they may be asking because they are interested in the club? Not every question has a hidden agenda.
And if we are confident in Spirit as a good club choice, we don't need to be so defensive.
Well said. I know there is a very defensive Spirit VA parent on this board and I was not trying to spread a false rumor. I honestly remember someone from Spirit VA posting about stretches at home instead of a 4th practice. It might have been a one off thing or might be remembering it wrong. Guess I recalled incorrectly.
This is the post I was thinking about:

Sprit VA’s 4th day was much different than the other three. Sunday was considered recovery. If you played more than 40 minutes,it was a recovery day which was stretching and light touches on the ball. Less than 40 minutes you scrimmaged to keep your fitness up.
Was the fourth day ever used for video review? How does WS handle the video review aspect?
It was typically done at home—not every week. When they had it, they were given specific assignments."
Apparently I misread it It was not the 4th day of stretches done at home rather the video review done at home. I was honestly just trying to understand if Spirit VA is doing the full 4 practices given the original post about Spirit MD not.

I remember hearing the girls were given recovery stretches at home and that counted as the 4th practice. Is that right? How about this Fall?
No, that is incorrect. If they played 60+ minutes, it is a light practice. If they didn't, it is a full practice + fitness. Sometimes, the non-starters play in ascrimmage.

OK. So you are a coach? Or should I call the coach?
PP invited you to attend practices with him to get a better perspective, but i guess you missed that post.
All of the information you would need is on WS site. You can contact the coaches personally and get answers to any questions you have directly. The VA coach particularly is very responsive and happy to discuss how training works.
It's hard to take the banter on this board seriously, with so many incorrect or misleading posts. I don't think it's very good for much more than entertainment in a large number of cases. Based on what I've read here about various clubs/environments with which I've had direct experience, I definitely would not use it as the primary basis for even forming impressions of the environments.
So much misinformation mixed in with bits of good info, with no way to validate anything.

In VA, it's a light 4th practice of you played more than 6O minutes.
Lori Lindsey is on that day
