Not sure why you'd say they must be vegan. Lots of families eat meat but don't drink milk.

It's hilarious that YOU'RE trying to sound smart when in fact a lot of these "theories" are scientific based studies and trials conducted over YEARS of research. Drink milk if you want but telling others that they are emotional schmucks for believing in science and case studies shows your bias.
I don't drink milk but I don't care if others do or not. There is a lot of things that others do that I consider unhealthy but it's not my business to point that out to them or make them feel small for believing the way they do.
This. The PP is a fool. I personally still drink milk (or at least dairy products) because I like it so much, but the science is undeniable that it's full of growth hormones, and there have been links between the consumption of growth hormones and the growth of cancer.
The American Cancer Society is not as vehement about this as you are: https://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancer-causes/recombinant-bovine-growth-hormone.html. First of all, not all milk is treated with the man-made hormone at issue, and the other hormone discussed is also present in soy and other foods. Also, as noted in the article, bovine growth hormone is not active in humans, so it won't cause our kids to become 700 lb cows.
I too do not like milk (but I love butter), and I buy our dairy from a farmer I trust to do things right by animals and humans. I'll keep following the research, but so far, I see no reason to avoid responsibly produced milk in moderation.

If you don't want to do that, don't drink cows milk.
Uh, or just don't drink like 30 gallons a day of it? I'm pretty 8-12 ozs a day isn't turning anyone into a 700 lb cow.
Calves drink 9 pints a day and are done with cows milk at 10 weeks.
Cows are made to eat grass. Humans can't eat grass. But we can drink cow's milk and eat cheese and butter.
Humans can do lots of things. Doesn't mean that we need to or should.

How is that non-sense - can you provide an example of another species that consumes a different species milk?

Huh? The patriarch is a successful dental surgeon. By the way, they eat meat and everything else any normal family eats. Not vegan. But the wife is a homemaker and she does prefer (does NOT mandate) a more-so vegetarian heavy diet for the family.
