No one is at greater risk of injury than gks. Where are their champions? Instead, we are just obsessing over heading the ball.

I say we ban kicking it too. Just in case...

+1 How would the game suffer if intentional heading were banned?


You could also just change it to say heading is only allowed within the penalty box.
That would keep heading, and headed goals in the game, while reducing heading in general.

Not the same. Don't be asinine. And I believe in heading the ball. I played and still play, as do my kids.

There's nothing wrong with wearing something that effectively signifianctly reduces the risk of concussions.

We can keep heading as the natural part of the sport it is without ridiculing players for protecting themselves. Shin guards weren't always part of soccer, but we all got used to it.

Nature of the sport, they are suppose to have contact on the head every play. No so in soccer, in fact toss a soccer ball at my head any day versus a 300 lbs lineman running full speed with a steel facemask. Helmet or no helmet, youre going to feel it.

That's my point. The OP listed those 10 neurologists as if it were evidence. It's not, and no more valid than neurologists who disagree.
