My husband and I probably average 2-3 times a week. I know he would like more but I just cant do it 2 days in a row anymore.

I think our perfect number is probably 3.


Ideally?

I’m horny before daybreak every morning. Ideally, one of us would roll over and we’d have sleepy, married middle-aged couple sex every single day. Realistically, I wake up and before I can think clearly enough, DH jumps up and goes for his run.

2-3 a week works for us.

I am totally jealous of most of you. I am in the a few times a year category. My DS always makes excuses and it stinks. When we do have sex, it’s all great and then there is a second or third outing soon thereafter. And then DS packs it in. I am a total horny mess. Another husband here. I'd like more frequency but if my wife isn't enthusiastic it's not worth it. We may only average once a week but she never just lays there.....it's the exact opposite.

43 year old married dad, my ideal would be 4-6x a week if we were more experimental and kinky,but the more tame life we have is fine 2x a week. We do it 1x per week which is wife's ideal. I don't like pity sex

We are really not that steady in frequency. We may go months only having sex once a week, and we may go months where we have sex every day. It kind of depends on how things are going in our marriage, and it really depends on DH. If he can keep his grumpy thoughts and moods to himself and “enthusiastically “ participate in our family life, then we fight less and have sex more often. If we are sort of annoyed with each other when we go to bed, then we have sex less often.

My DH and I have been married a long time and we eventually found that once or maybe twice a week was good for us because we both seemed to get more into it then when it was 3-4 times a week. The reduced frequency led to much longer foreplay which led to much hotter total sex. I'm sure my DH would like that same quality of sex 2-3 times a week but he knows it won't happen.

I'm fine with once a week and if it gets past ten days I initiate it. I'm sure my DH would like it at least twice a week but I don't hear a lot of complaining or even moaning because when I'm ready I'm all in. FYI - we are in our 60's.
