"They" being Europe? They only care about their own interests?

Most of the major European countries belong to NATO, to which the US is also a member. Article 5 of the NATO treaty is a collective defense clause that states that an attack on one ally will be considered an attack upon all. The FIRST TIME Article 5 was ever invoked was ON BEHALF OF THE US, after 9/11. NATO came to OUR defense. As of August 2017, the US had about 7000 out of 13,500 troops in Afghanistan, so almost half of the troops are NOT supplied by the US. This is even though Europe was not attacked on 9/11. Europe continues to participate in the NATO missions in Afghanistan and elsewhere as part of the global war on terror, even though it is that participation that caused AQ to broaden its attacks to Europe.

Not to mention our US military bases in Germany and Italy, from which we carry out attacks and transport troops and materiel throughout Africa, the Middle East and Afghanistan, and through which we transport most wounded soldiers from Afghanistan and Iraq.

WTF? How can people believe that Europe cares only about their own interests? And, after all that NATO has done for US, Trump is so idiotic as to threaten them.

Russia literally kills an innocent woman in England and the EU is the foe?

Germany rises up in a bloodthirsty rage every 100 years.

Uhhh. Even if you believe this, the whole point of NATO and the EU was to place Germany in a framework that would serve to restrain German power and align German interests with other countries in Europe, instead of having each European country competing with the other. This strategy has worked pretty well for 70+ years. I cannot for the life of me understand why Trump is intent on pulling this framework down. He risks a return of interstate conflict within Europe and and interstate conflict between Russia and various European countries, not to mention the impact that an emboldened Erdogan may have not only in Europe but vis-a-vis the Kurds and the resultant impact in the broader Middle East.

+1

The lack of business acumen among our prior leaders led to is being the worlds piggybank. The world must have thought our prior leaders were childlike in their stupidity. No wonder they were happy. Now they are soft and weak from the spoiling. Trump will use that fact to enrich and strengthen our already tough population .

You think Trump is a good businessman? Really?

Whenever Trumpies say this, I want a look at their own finances. How many personal bankruptcies on your own books? How many maxed-out credit cards in your wallet?

Because if you think this disaster-capitalist s--tpile is some model of business acumen, you're just mind-bogglingly stupid about money.
