It's also crazy wasteful. Your grandmother thinks you're a spendthrift.
That just proves that you didn't know my grandmother. She had three houses, and I couldn't tell you how many vacuums she had.
With that kind of family $, why are you vacuuming at all?
Anonymous wrote:We have one vacuum and it currently has no home so not sure where I'd put 3. We live in a DC townhouse that has no closet on the first floor, two tiny old closets on the 2nd floor, and storage space in the basement that is full of other crap (holiday decorations, suitcases, etc.). It's too much of a pain to drag it to the basement and shove stuff around to fit it, so it kinda just lives out and about.
3 vacuums would be nuts. I guess she has a ton of storage space?
We are renovating our first floor so will finally get a closet! I'm so excited, and our one vacuum will finally have a home.

What vacuum would everyone recommend?
Dyson Animal rechargeable.

Curious about this too. We have a Dyson and it's falling apart, in part from being carried up and down stairs - the cannister falls off, the hose just hangs on the floor as the attachment is broken. It's not even 5 years old. I do love how powerful it is, but really getting sick of lugging the thing around, and definitely don't vacuum as often because of having to carry it.
Anonymous wrote:No, this is not a thing that most people do. If you have a crap ton of money and you're lazy, you might have a vacuum on each floor.

OP here - that could be true lol! I do have a Miele though so maybe that gives me some street cred.
I have an inherited Rainbow and as much as I hate that thing and generally always use my cordless Dyson for kids messes, I have to admit it does a much better job.
