I never once slept at DHs place when we were dating because I a) had a dog and b) had a nice apartment by myself while he had a bunch of roommates in a grungy row home. Also, like many people, DH was tidy but not necessarily clean before we got married. So he hung up his towels consistently but rarely washed them, tidied up his bathroom but rarely/never scrubbed it. I just really preferred being in my nice clean apartment.

It sucks to spend the night at someone's house without your stuff, and who wants to pack all that up every time? Like, you're going on a date, and you have to pack your clothes for the next day and all your toiletries? Or else go home to get ready? Sucks. And if you have to work the next day, it's even more of a pain.

I dated a guy I really, really, really liked. Wouldn't sleep over because his bathroom was filthy - no way I was taking a shower over there.

OP, maybe she's too polite (or timid) to say anything. Maybe spring to get your place professionally cleaned and just casually mention it to the girlfriend. See if she seems more eager to come over.

Or - is her car parked in a visitor spot? Have you offered her one of your parking passes so she isn't in danger of being towed?
