I live in low lying Alexandria where the mosquitos really are insane. Like, you simply could be outside without getting destroyed. Now, I use the pesticide and they are gone. All of them. It's like a miracle.
I couldn't care less what it does to the bees and butterflies. I'm on this earth for my life, not theirs.
If you are on this earth for your own life, then it's rather unfortunate that you've been spraying and breathing in the poison that you purchased off Amazon. God knows what you have done to yourself as you sprayed your 4 acres.
Oh - and if you want to survive on earth, you may want to keep the pollinators around.
Nah, I'm good. The bugs? Not so much.
OK, let's go for selfish reasons. Pesticides are only temporarily effective. Longer-term, using pesticides on mosquitoes helps develop pesticide-resistant mosquitoes. By spraying your property, you're contributing to the development of super mosquitoes that won't be killed off by current pesticides. It's exactly like antibiotic resistance.

Anonymous wrote:$20. I buy a bunch of mosquito dunks, fill a bucket and a shallow dish with water, put the dunks in and encourage mosquitos to kill their own larvae.
We also use fans on our deck.

Yep. When I sit outside I put a fan outside. After about 5 minutes bugs are gone

Second, you risk killing bees and other pollinators.
Third, despite their denials, it’s toxic to many birds.
Finally, spraying toxic chemicals all over your trees is a really d1ck move.
