I live in Alexandria and realize now that this was likely the reason the developer never did anything with the mall after closing it back in January. They must have had this deal to use the mall for filming in the works for quite a while. Hopefully after filming, the will start the mall renovation.


I agree! It would be weird, though, because it wasn't a closed in mall during the 80s. It was open-air. The hot malls back then were Springfield Mall and White Flint Mall.

It was not until the year 2000 onwards where all of the undefinable mishmash started.



Agree with all this. Whatever happened 2000 and on? Is it our age? Do people that were teens think of it as defined?


It does matter what they think because history will prove it was not defined.
Pictures and video footage from that time period will disagree with them if they try to say otherwise.
