Seeking asylum after crossing safe countries automatically takes out ''asylum'' part.
They are not asylum seekers, they are economic illegal migrants.

That’s not asylum law here or in any other country. You are just making shit up.

Any judge will look at the fact that people crossed safe countries to get to US and will deny asylum.
They are economic illegal migrants. Many of them grab a random kid to get into this country.

True. All Deplorables in this thread, repeat after me: “Asylum is not a crime. Asylum is not a crime. Asylum is not a crime.”

So why separate kids and parents into separate concentration camps when they have not committed a crime?

Just stop. You are making yourself look stupid. Turn of MSNBC.

Or, you could open your eye and be reality about where this is headed if enough outrage isn't shown now.

The Dem response is just to let them in--and, they disappear. This does not help stop the flow.

The kids are getting care. It is troubling. It needs to stop.

This.

There was a recent episode of Frontline showed how easy it was for any adult to show up and pick up unaccompanied minors when the influxes a few years ago were so high. They lowered verification standards on who showed up to get the kids and they never followed up on the kids. The show focuses on some teen boys who were taken to a chicken farm and basically living in slave like conditions. And what recourse did these 14 yr olds have? None. Their families paid thousands of dollars for them to be sent to the US and then treated like crap. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/trafficked-in-america/

However, it just underscores that our values don't change just because there is a different president.

Our? You don't hold my values. My values are the rule of law and personal responsibility.

Your values are the "rule of law" and "personal responsibility"? LOL.

Thanks for the laugh.

What’s worse separating citizens from their parents or recent illegal aliens from their parents?

Immigration status doesn't matter. Family does. Humans do. Aren't you all supposed to be pro-family?

So you believe this for all crimes? Rob a bank and you can’t be separated from kids?

How is looking for asylum any near equivalent to robbing a bank?

DP. A mother is arrested for shoplifting, DUI, shouting at capital hill, ... she would be separated from her children.

No she would be arrested and would have an opportunity to arrange care with a relative or the kids would be placed in foster care. The kids wouldn't also be arrested and sent to, well, a prison camp. Maybe you'd like it call it something nicer. But it's not a home, they aren't with their parents, and they aren't allowed to leave.

STFU heartless Trump troll!!

Completely different situation!!

Sessions and Trump are separating desperate parents from their children at the border, then housing those traumatized children in prison camps.

Get yourself drunk on vodka. You Trump apologists make me sick.

Anonymous wrote:What I love about our country is that the same laws apply equally to all people.

It is now common knowledge that illegal immigration into the United States is being treated as the crime that it legally is. When an adult with a minor child commits a crime, they are detained. Part of that detention is that someone has to take care of their minor children.

Many minor children of detained people --US citizens included, end up in foster care. But while they are waiting for their foster parents, they are placed in group homes. The children's detention center is a very large group home.

So, as a parent, knowing that illegal immigration is no longer tolerated in the US and that you will be separated from your child, why do you as the adult still make the decision to commit the crime?

Is someone passing out flyers to those who are fleeing their countries and heading north so they are aware of Steve Miller's new policy? How do you know these seeking a better life for their children are aware of this new policy to rip their children from their arms?

How can they deport small children without an adult? That is absolute insanity
