I agree. I'm 47. My bf is 55. Sex drive ... I want more. But he is mite caring, more experienced, more flexible and calm about shit than anybody else I know. No reservations.

Not the same thing. You are over 30 so you know yourself better, presumably.

Also, you probably haven't hit your sexual peak yet, and your boyfriend's is on the decline. I foresee more sex trouble ahead.

My friend’s dad is 49 and his wife is 23. Married 4 years and still going strong. When we first met her we thought it was the 18 year old brother’s girlfriend. She is a hot Eastern European. He is loaded but a really nice man. Both seem happy. Hopefylly the relationship will last.

My DH was 39 and I was 26 when we met. I was dating other guys closer to my age (always at least 3-5 years older) and really tried to like them as much as I liked this older, but super fun and SUPER passionate older/divorced man... I couldn’t he was just way more fun than all guys closer to my age. I think we are an exception. We are still super happy 8 years and 2 kids later . I hope people don’t think it’s weird

Anyone else think it looks a little creepy for a man that age to date such a young woman? I know this is par for the course in Hollywood, but what about IRL?

I had zero interest in 40 year old men in my 20s. 40 year olds were the dads of kids I babysat in my teens. I had zero in common with them. And now as a 40 something married to a 40 something, I could not imagine my DH dating a young woman slightly older than our own college-age sitters.

Anyone have thoughts on this?


It technically fails the Creepy Old Man Formula:

(old man's age)/2 + 7 = Youngest partner age

If she was closer to 30, it would be OK. Does he have kids? If he wants kids, then there is an inconvenient, but very real, biological limit to how old he can date.

He's 25 years older. That's a big age difference, though I think she was a bit older. It makes a difference when the younger person is 30+.
