No, they don't. Policy beneficiaries get life insurance benefits. If the heirs aren't; the beneficiaries, they don't get life insurance proceeds.



Practically speaking, for the majority of people, their life insurance beneficiaries are also their heirs.

About $4M per kid. But oldest 2 will need to deal with guardian issues of minors.
