I don't think you're going to get a ton of useful owner feedback beyond "I love my new car" as it just hit dealer lots. Assuming you want to keep it outside warranty get #1 Highlander or #2 Pilot. You'll get anecdotal "well my Subaru has lasted 10yrs with no major issues", but Subaru engines have a pretty long history of known defects. The Ascent has a turbocharged 4-cyl which is under much more stress in regular use and will not last as long as the V6 in the Highlander or Pilot.

The only "real" BMW is BMW's first product, the R32...anything made after is for posers and badge whores:
