It took time for black women to make it in Hollywood, then Hispanic women came into play and then east Asian women made it to the stage. She (and Mindy Kaling) have pulled down some of those barriers (even though she's in her 30s) for South Asian women and kudos to her for that.
Don't forget Parminder Nagra, who predates Priyanka and was (and is) on better shows. Thought I realize she is English, but of Indian descent.
