I’m also with Citi and we love them. They have branches all over, although not as many as other big banks. I’m in Chevy Chase and there’s one in Tenley, one in CCDC, and one in downtown Bethesda that I use regularly. We switched from Capital One because I hated them after they bought Chevy Chase.

Savings use Marcus by Goldman Sachs - it pays 1.7%.

Bank of the Internet. Account holder since July of 1999. They were the first online only bank and they rock. The lack of a local branch is not a problem when the bank does not have any branches. I have never been a big cash spender so have no problem getting cash from an ATM when I need it. I never get large chunks of cash so depositing them is not a problem.

They’re non-profit—why should they? Silly.

Bank of America for checking because one was in my office building when I moved to the area away from an area with only a regional bank because I wanted to deal with it quickly. It's been fine.

Savings is through Capital One 360 and Discover (used to be eTrade, or something when I opened it).

Capital One is great for online, and has an easy way to not only pay bills, but transfer $$ between accounts. VERY good for teens - kids have money accounts, which are free, and have debit/atm carfs that you can easily transfer funds to (and they cannot overdraft).
