One of the nice things about a strong HOA is notndealing with peoples desire to fly flags. Decorate, signs, etc.

We do allow flags but honestly the only guy flying one is this crazy old geezer who I hope goes away one day.

Put out a political sign it’s gone by morning.
Love love love our management company.
They do a drive thru each day on their way home.

If you have some out in violation it’s removed immediately.
No warnings, no letters, just trashed immediately.

Love love love it.

Unfortunately the company you keep among other flag bearers includes some awful people who use the flag as a weapon to brandish an aggressive, racist, misogynist, xenophobic agenda. Especially in this area, some people may read that signal. I wouldn't do it.

This is complete bullshit. This perception that liberals aren't patriotic and see the flag as something offensive (or "tacky" - WTF?) is a made-up fever dram of the Fox News crowd, fanned by trolls who perceive some advantage in perpetuating divisions in America. I am as liberal as anyone, and more liberal than most, my ancestors consist both of recent immigrants and Revolutionary War soldiers, and I refufe to cede *my* country to the right wing. Being patriotic doesn't require one to turn off his or her brain, and blindly declaring that everything the US does is great is the opposite of patriotism.

And I can't believe I got sucked into this obvious troll thread.

So you put out an American flag to advertise your patriotism?

Hey, speak for yourself. I put my American flag out on my porch, live in DC area and I am a Democrat.

Np. Why?

I have a DC flag. Interpret it as you will.

It's because troll flames are repeatedly fanned by people like the OP, who has apparently identified as being "right wing" elsewhere.

True story.

My politically liberal combat-veteran dad is the only person who flies an American flag on his block.

Half the houses on my street have an American flag out front. What does that mean?
