I loved him. He added the joy of God, and not just respect for God, to the ceremony. He certainly had a bit of Baptist gospel preacher about him, which reminded me of the influence Billy Graham had on Queen Elizabeth. Not the gospel preacher aspect, but of the low church disintermediated relationship with God and Jesus. And I say this as a Catholic, where intermediation reigns!

Diana's dress was gorgeous at the time and absolutely perfect on her but looking at it now, it is really quite dated.
I think both Kate's and Meghan's dresses are more classic looks that will stand up to the test of time.
