But as long as ALL of concern yourself primarily with the Color associated with your team it is what it is.

STFU CCL Guy.

This thread is about which of the two leagues requires greater travel (to help OP). There was some idiot on here trying to imply that CCL did not have much travel. Several posters took care of that and in the process explained the reasons why CCL is a league that requires more travel. No one wants to hear your tired, boring argument, it has been proved wrong numerous times and every single soccer thread. You are one of the worst posters on the entire DCUM!

Annnnd NCSL has less travel than CCL That answers the OP. Your tired trope of “I care about the game I love” while heart felt and dramatic was unnecessary. But the truth is you might have to sacrifice a spot on the top team for your kid in order to achieve the shorter travel you crave. And every time that fact is mentioned you go into your tired “go away CCL Guy” routine. You never address the fact that of all the complaining you do here about CCL you will never put your kid on a lower team because your ego is the same as everyone else’s. You talk a big game but you refuse to walk the walk.

Shut up already and put your kid on a NCSL team.

We have and know plenty of friends who left CCL. Your premise is wrong, any your multi-year Quest with this broken record argument makes you the laughing stock of DCUM. You can't resist injecting this tired and flawed argument into every single soccer thread where CCL gets mentioned. Numerous posters on numerous occasions have told you it gets old. I am just one of those many posters, and not the PP you think I am. Duh.

Dude give it a rest. A hour to hour and a half drive once or twice a year isn’t going to kill anyone. Heaven forbid you see some other parts of the region.

NCSL is NOT like MSI Classic. Are you on drugs?

The parents who want to say their kids play travel complain the most about it yet they get htem in there at u9 to u10 then bitch and moan.

As the PP said, it is a commitment, NCSL is more like MSI Classic on steroids while CCL EDP NPL are regional and when you travel to they put the games together that weekend so when you play in Northern MD you will then play a Delaware team or NJ team the next day. ^^ I grew up in Fairfax and not so around here. I played ‘78-87.

WAGs was competitive and the best girls teams were Fairfax, Springfield Youth Club, Braddock Road, McLean. We did go into Maryland—Bowie, Columbia, Mt Mary’s. Tournaments were primarily NY/NJ/Connecticut/NJ. Eastern Regionals in Toronto.

My brother also had very good local competition.

For kids in this area, even in the 80s, you were finding some of the best teams in a 30 mike radius. Several National team players/and a coach ( men and women) came out of this area.

It makes today’s travel for regular season league games even more ridiculous.
