Oh goodness. I have a 6 yo girl and 7 yo boy and they fight like cats and dogs. I thought it was because of the closeness in age! I'm following for advice, too. I feel for you, OP.

I had all sisters. Sisters get verbally aggressive.

I have all boys in a neighborhood of boys. Brothers get physically aggressive.



There is a difference.

My sister & I sometimes fought physically as kids. We had good family friends with 2 gumirls the same ages as us & they fought physically as much (if not more) than any brothers I've ever known. Meanwhile, my 2 nephews (brothers) almost never physically fight, they just argue.

It is a personality & dynamics difference, not a gender difference.

My boy7/girl4 fight like crazy. They choose to play with each other but drive each other crazy. Just when I'm watching them play and smilng at this beautiful family I've created, they snap and go into monster mode.
