I don’t see anything in the post claiming the OP must be Indian.
Do you know what Biryani and Seviyaan is? If you did you’d know it was food from the sub-continent.

I would think that would kind of ruin the party. It is not a birthday party, but neighbors and all of them party, if many kids show up no need to come up with crafts, they would play around the yard and in the street and have a ball.... Organizing Eid dinner is so much work, if I was hosting I would not be adding to my plate. Sometimes party needs to be just a party.

We invited lots of our "regular" friends to our Big Ethnic Wedding. We had a little insert in the wedding program that explained the things that occurred and their significance. Our friends had a great time and also learned a little something about our culture.
As a mom, I would love it if my kids had an awesome time but maybe also learned a little something about your culture, Ramadan, Islam, etc. Is there something that you could do that taught them something, not in a heavy-handed way? A craft or some coloring pages maybe?
