What do you think of the parkland kids and the women's March?[/quote
Ps: you're the man now

You entitled brats! We baby boomers fought for half of you (the women) to be able to work in any job you want, study anything you want and play sports. In my lifetime help wanted ads were divided in jobs for men and jobs for women. Women were not allowed to play sports or even run in a marathon! If yor husband divorced you in middle age, then you would lose your social security with him. We fought for the right to legal abortions and equal pay. You take it all for granted. I don't want hear how bad you have it.
The men of my generation could get drafted into a war that they didn't want to fight. Men became students to save their own lives. My generation fought for civil rights for blacks. We also brought you rock and rock, computers, cell phones and the internet. Our parents were the greatest generation, but boomers have changed the world for the better for you younger generations. You're riding on our coat tails. Your welcome.
I'm the first poster who responded to this thread. This is why I said it's mostly because you're mean.
If you felt bad because you weren't perfect but proud of the steps forward you helped us take I wouldn't have hard feelings. But you have this like, "we have done nothing wrong and your generation sucks and you can't question me because I'm your elder" attitude.
We're grown ups now suffering as a result of a lot of your policies and voter and you give us nothing but contempt. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to like our respect a generation that treats mine with contempt. And you're putting that you're just going to keep doing it with this stupid "dismiss all teenagers because they all eat tide pods" bs
The world was worse and harder for previous generations. My boomer generation had it easier than our parents generation. Current generations are facing different problems for sure, it's not utopia, so change it, as we did.

You don’t have any idea how much you just did to prove the rest of us right, do you?
Yeah, SOME boomers did all of the things the PP mentioned, but far more acted like a bunch of money grubbing, selfish, me first takers.
Anonymous wrote:Well, all the pp's covered the economic ruin and mind boggling narcissism so rampant among boomers, so I'll cover how shallow and selfish they are. They have more divorce than any generation before or after them, largely because they can't handle their responsibilities (see: economy). Among the most infuriating traits of the boomers is that their cultural touchstone is a rock festival (woodstock). Can you imagine if Gen Xers were to say, "yeah, we had 9/11. But what really stood out as our pivotal moment was lalapalooza in '95". You would rightly call us losers. So guess what we think about you. Oh and I leave out the Vietnam vets, those people you spit on. They are the best boomers and I exempt them from all of my above comments.
