You're also very sorry that his INNOCENT victim was stabbed multiple times and felt excruciating pain as she died, right? You forgot to say that. ..

While not trying to defend the him he was actually a party to the crime but was not the one who stabbed her. The jury found him guilty and wanted him sentenced to life but the judge gave him the death penalty anyway.

I will try to explain.

I don’t think a civilized state deals with extreme evil and/or mental health issues by killing the perpetrator. Life in prison, without parole, I believe is the correct answer.

It’s because we are human, our justice system is made up of human beings and we can never be 100% sure that the person is guilty. To take a prisoner’s life means that there is no way to deal with evidence that pops up later. There are far too many cases where a person has been wrongly put to death. And one case, in my mind, is enough to say that in a civilized country, we don’t do that.

I don’t get why they didn’t sedate him first before putting the mask on him. Or put something over his mouth to knock him out then put the mask on him.

I think anyone entering the country with fentanyl and or dealing should automatically get the death sentence upon conviction.

Unless they were framed for the crime, I have no problem with whatever method is used for people on death row. I do think they need to review evidence prior to carrying out the execution to ensure they have the correct individual.
