I'm a regular sized male now 54 and I've had this issue since my teen years. It's only gotten worse every year. I have no problem with bladder control, I just have to pee a lot. As it is now, I get up to pee at night 3-5 times and during the day pee every 60-120 mins, more often if i drink a lot of liquid.

When I was 20, I went to the doctor and had all sorts of tests run. I don't have diabetes and I'm not knocked up. They couldn't find the problem. I've learned to live with it.

Chronic constipation can also cause frequent urination. Something else you may want to get checked out.

I developed overactive bladder at age 12. I'm in my mid 40s and still have it.

I was told meditation would help (I've ruled out everything else I could treat at this point).

I resisted until my child needed it for anxiety. It does seem to help.

Overactive bladder is probably caused by something else but stress makes it a lot worse.

This is probably more likely than diabetes.

I think as suggested by others, you should err on the side of caution and get tests done for her. That way your mind can be at rest.
I know when I had a UTI many years ago, I always felt I needed to use the toilet more than normal.

UTI - see a doc sooner than later. Teach her how to do a clean catch urine

Get her ADH level checked for central DI. Simple blood test.

Otherwise could also be a kidney issue.

I have a small bladder and always go more than others (every few hours). But I also get silent UTIs which increase frequency to 20-30 min. No pain with my UTIs. Antibiotics clear it right up. I remember it happening when I was younger and no one knowing what was wrong. I was miserable. Now I know the symptoms. Dr should be able to run a test and diagnose pretty quickly. Definitely take her in.

my first thought would be diabetes. You should take her to the doctor ASAP. Thing can get dangerous quickly.

Unless she has sudden onset small bladder, OP, I'd be looking for a different explanation. Is the peeing waking her up during the night as well? If so, the most likely explanation is T1 diabetes, which usually has no other symptoms initially. Is she peeing out only a bit each time? If so, then a UTI is the most likely explanation. Hormones can't also cause this (it's why people pee so much in the first trimester), so I'd also look at hormonal causes... The earlier poster was obnoxious about it, but pregnancy is obviously something that would need to be ruled out; but also, other hormonal issues.
