I’m trying to figure out how this works in the bath. If he’s straddling you, wouldn’t that push you underwater?

I fill the tub so the water covers my stomach but not my breast when I lay on my back.

What happens next?

Excellent question! I fill the tub so that when I lay in the tub the water just reaches the underside of my breasts. This allows plenty of movement without too high a water level.

Same! Showers never work out. Either he blocks all the water or it skips off my head to his face. It’s a lose lose.

+1. It’s no fun waiting to the side in the cold air while he rinses the soap and shampoo, and I’m sure he feels the same.

NP. Wonder how many of these bath haters are men?

A long, hot soak in my claw-footed bathtub, some Floris bath oils, maybe a book in the nickel-played thingy that stretches from one side of the tub to the other, with the door closed and my kids on the other side....

My sister always takes a glass of sherry into the tub for her nightly bath.

Those bath oils ensure that your skin doesn’t dry out the way it does in a shower.

Mmmmmm.... you guys don’t know how to take care of yourselves.

Man here. I take a shower every day. To me, a shower is for getting clean and a bath is for relaxing and soothing sore muscles with a bit of Epsom salts. So I take a bath maybe once every two weeks or so.

With my DW, we bathe together about once a week and it's nice and relaxing with candlelight and wine, sometimes very sexy or just a prelude to good, clean sex that may start in the tub. Those of you who are grossed out by taking a bath make me wonder if you really know how to do it correctly.

We've showered together also but I don't really enjoy it when we have to take turns under the water. Maybe if I had a fancy, expensive shower with lots of space and multiple shower heads I'd enjoy it more. We've been to a few hotels like that.

I wait until she is done with her bath, then I drink her bath water.

Let me guess - you also hate music, flowers, sunshine, and laughter, too, right?

What is so good about a bath other than your romance novels and movies tell you you're supposed to love them?

I don't like baths because they are boring, the water cools down too fast, and it uses SO much water I could have a 30 minute shower in that time. I find baths uncomfortable. Too short. Not deep enough. I like the tub squeaky clean, which it isn't always, and takes work BEFORE the bath.

I love a hot shower. I'll shower with my SO, and I love being able to wash him and get a rise out of him. Next house is getting a bigger shower with two heads, maybe some side jets. Love love love a sexy shared shower. Or a solo shower.

The last time I showered with someone, I lost my nose stud so we ended up frantically searching for it until we realized it was in the bottom of the shower. That was years ago. I'm still wearing the same one. We had a good laugh after that, because I told him it was the first time I had lost a stud in the shower.

I hate baths. Shower alone....mostly. Love our big outdoor hot tub where the jets get me going and DH completes the task!
