The UT article says that 80% of parents worldwide spank, and in various studies, 80-95% of parents in the US spank.

I haven't posted anything about spanking at all lately, aside from this thread.

Same, but my mom never did the dirty work. She would have my dad do it when he got home. But it definitely taught me to keep things from her and that's still true today.

Same here. Learned to behave when she was looking and to never tell her anything. When I turned 15 I was as tall as her and started hitting her back. Younger siblings were grateful.
