No David Blair with his rich liberal guilt - many of us working stiffs don’t actually want to give all of our money away to every illegal immigrant who runs across the border that the big businesses then use to increase their profits via paying low wages (and having us middle class people pay for their legal, medical and schooling).
Would be nice to have a conservative smart Democrat running but all I see is people who want to use people’s money to further their own interests.
Conservative Democrat or moderate republican where are you?

But like a PP said, most people don't follow the elections, so the democratic primary is when the exec will be effectively decided. Since there aren't open primaries, I, like 30% of registered voters in MoCo with no affiliation, won't be able to make such a choice in the primaries.
Silly to argue Frick has more relevant experience than Krasnow, leaving aside that he can't seem to decide which elected office he wants to run for.
Frick is currently a MD delegate, and worked to end the DLC (liquor) monpoly. Krasnow has been out of the game for over a decade.

Blair has no experience.
Frick is a nonentity.
Leventhal has a nasty side and no leadership skills.
Krasnow has been involved in a lot of the planning choices I don’t care for and her mayoral experience is from a different political era.
Elrich is too far left and doesn’t think about consequences of his liberal actions.
Berliner is the best of the bunch but something about him rubs me the wrong way.
So I may skip that race and focus my energy instead on who to vote for in the CD6 race.
The problem with Berliner is that he's clueless. He rarely asks questions or comments during hearings or meetings...because he doesn't know enough to add to or inform the conversation. He will be a train wreck.
Leventhal comes off as abrupt, but I think he actually does his homework and knows what he's talking about. My beef with him is that he talks out of both sides of his mouth and seemingly is afraid to take a stand.
Elrich isn't just plain awful.
Rose isn't impressive, but she might be our best bet.

I think you are conflating state law and county law. There is no other county in America which has liquor stores, but plenty of states that do.
