Women have two mentalities/stages in their lives that they vacillate between (and is why they innately cannot be happy and truly love a man):

Wanting things done TO them and Wanting things done FOR them.

Feminists are confused between the two and tend to be angry until they figure this out.

I'm a feminist. Which means I believe that men and woman are equal and should be treated as such. It doesn't mean that I think we are exactly the same. I'm happy to split the check or let you pick it up (especially on a first date) or pick it up myself. I'm happy if you hold open a door for me, or come to the door instead of honking from the car. I don't hate or dislike men. I'll dress up for a date, and wear makeup and do my hair. (but not my nails.)

If you have certain "Manly" skills like knowing about cars or being able to fix things, I think that is awesome and will appreciate you bringing that to the table.

I don't think I've ever been ditched or dumped for being a feminist. I have ended things with guys because we were mismatched in our values. I have dated a lot of Republicans, but I won't date anyone who voted for Trump.

A few years ago, it wouldn't have been a problem. Today, with how partisan things are, especially in "liberal" circles, I'd be more on guard. "Feminist" can mean basically anything these days. I'd wonder what compels you to announce that you identify with a term that is both meaningless and potentially alienating.
