Why?
Two words. Time change.
Some of us have done it! My DD is fine traveling to different time zones. Last Europe trip at about 2.5, we all just slept in really late after arriving and then we were fine and on the same schedule.

I get that some kids have trouble, but in my experience (3 international trips with dd4 and ds1.5) it’s more than fine. I assume some of these comments come from people who have not tried it.
But you have to admit a 2 year old is getting nothing more from a park in Paris then A park in NYC! Great if your kid is not routine sensitive but they will have no memory of the trip so the destination does not matter.
Seriously, my 6 year old is happy at any beach, amusement park, water park! I mean come on, she's a toddler. This is the thing about world travels for little ones - you can take them anywhere. They won't remember anything. My parents would tell me how they gave me all this culture by taking me everywhere for vacations from age 5-14 and staying at 5 star hotels. The thing is, I'm sure (glad) I enjoyed it and all but I don't remember about 90% of any of these trips. It wasn't until I was in my teens did I really appreciate and if I'm being honest, not until my 20s that I could go anywhere I want and set up my own trips did I really love to soak up different experiences/culture. My parents to this day (I'm 45) tell me part of why I'm so successful is because I was introduced to all these cultural, beautiful, new, etc experiences - I just roll my eyes. I think they really enjoyed where we went and I'm glad I went with them but honestly when you're a kid - as long as you get to do kid things, you're gonna be happy anywhere. So relax - take them wherever you end up and enjoy being with them!!
