Yes, at Mazza Gallerie, which isn't exactly a "mall."

I heard a commercial for this school on WAMU yesterday for the first time, and they mentioned this location. Sounds like this upscale location fits the market they're targeting.

Yes.
They can admit students without a process (and at any time) and also offer aid without an application. If the intention is to damage the market to get initial enrollment they certainly have big advantages.

The only money in private schools these days is from full-pay Chinese parents anyway, so someone finally thought to start a school funded by the Chinese, in the U.S., offering Chinese language, for Chinese students. In a few years it may be the only private school in the area turning a profit.

See, that’s the thing. The other schools are non-profit. I shudder to think of the priorities of a for-profit school at this age range. Their priority is not the students, it’s all about using them to make money!!

Has anyone gone to one of their recent informational events? Any takeaways?

Sounds like a scary place to work.

Can they legally ask that question? Health information is private.

Nope. Not legal. They will be in litigation before they even open.

I feel ridiculous saying their name and it sounds ridiculous when I hear their ad every ten minutes on the radio. I don't know anything about the school but I dislike it already.

Do you have a source? Not that I don't believe you but I'd like to share it with some people.

It was in the Washington Post article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/private-school-with-global-ambition-to-open-in-dc-and-china-in-2019/2018/02/07/c101aaa2-0b4b-11e8-95a5-c396801049ef_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.5a20bab54571
