Woman here. I think you are being smart. If you will be earning that much, the debt you will incur is not that great. It is worth the return on investment.

Also, you need to take care of your career first. Even if you did not do this, there is no guarantee of marriage.

I think it will depend on the man. Some men care about woman having good incomes (my husband cared) but others don't. You will just have to find the guys that see the value in it. You will have to weed the guys out that seem to have a problem with it quickly. But at 29, you should be weeding guys out quickly anyway. I think this is totally fine. I met my husband at 29 and he most definitely cared about my future earnings.

Can you tell me the advantages of a beta over an alpha? May e first define the difference ? This seems like troll type talk with no content

A beta is basically a man who isn't very masculine. There really isn't anything wrong with a Beta, but I wouldn't consider it an advantage. DC is full of betas.

the only question that matters is this: Will going back to school and pursuing your dream make you happy? Yes? Then do it. If not, sure you could keep your same "good" paying job and find a man, but you will always look back and regret not going for it. I met my wife when she was in grad school when we were both 28. Our close friend just had her second child at age 44 so being 35 with a great new career ain't nothin. Do what's best for you

Op you’re probably getting bitter advice from people who are unhappy with their lives or are a SAHM with no career of the own. Do it! Don’t take advice from people who likely never got an education. You still have plenty of time to marry and have kids. Many doctors get married in their 30’s and have kids. It’s never too late to pursue your dreams and better your life!

Op will easily be able to pay off the loan with a $150-200k salary. Sounds like op is planning her life. I admire her ambition and willingesss to change her life. Better to do that than be a SAHM and risk financial independence and security.
