Subject: Relocating Into DMV
Be open to Fairfax County schools as well. ASk your realtor to show you houses/rentals in the Langley, McLean, Madison high school pyramid school districts. Falls Church and Vienna, where we live, are slightly less expensive than Langley and McLean school districts.

Understand that Arlington Schools have only a nominal gifted program. There’s very little in the way of services and programming — it’s more of a status designation for Type A parents to be anxious about.
That said, I am sure Oakridge is superior to your school in Florida.
Florida is full of schools superior to the South Arlington schools. Don’t be so quick to assume.

Gunston is a good middle school, so I wouldn’t sweat it.
