Do intervals. Whatever speed/incline high/low interval that works for you, challenges you, where YOU DON'T HOLD ON TO THE TREADMILL. Maybe it's 3 minutes at incline 5, 3 minutes at incline 10. Maybe it's a few minutes at 3, a few mins at 8, a few mins at 15. Play with it, and what challenges you.
I have machines at my gym that have an incline up to 30.
Think of it like hiking. MUCH better to walk slow and high, than some insane speed where you can't walk with your arms swinging freely.
