It took me about 5 minutes to figure out that that a spotlight was on me, he took my tickets, ripped them up and then escorted me and my friend to our seats, which was a circuitous route that included a trip across the stage. My friend took the trip across the stage willingly, but I being a bit neurotic needed a lot of coaxing and refused to go at first out of genuine stage fright... the audience was roaring since they thought it was all staged... I reluctantly crossed, only after much encouragement from the audience and the clown was pulling on my arm. Turns out I am a comedic natural... the entire crowd was roaring, with laughter... My 15 minutes of fame! The actual show it self was a snooze fest. I think I fell asleep about 20 mins into the show... but before that it was a true great time!
I've always wondered if things like this are staged. I saw something like this in Vegas as well. I remember thinking thank goodness I didn't get picked if it happened to be real.
