Same for him when I travel -- we need to know whether the other person landed safely and where to find them, but I don't have the slightest interest in the topic of a morning meeting or names of lunch companions.
I wouldn't think that a spouse failing to volunteer this information (flights/hotels) would be too strange -- a lot of us compartmentalize work and home life and might not think to forward on details from an admin vis a vis flight numbers. I would think that a spouse refusing to provide these details when asked was beyond bizarre.

When I was 9 months pregnant I got the contact numbers for about 5 people who would try to get a hold of him, but that was it.
Why would you need the itinerary? I've been hospitalized 2x when DH was gone and I relied once on a friend and once on my parents to watch my kids/stay with me. DH didn't know until he returned.
You do know that if you are in wifi you can use text, email and facetime audio/video from your phone without needing international cell service right? I don't always turn on international roaming because I can often get by with just wifi access. While I don't feel the need to tell my DH everything I am doing when he or I are traveling, I would let him know if I was hospitalized.

He's often in countries with no wifi. Or Asia where the time difference is so great that he can't get me when I'm not working and he's in his hotel. He obviously made sure to text daily when I was super pregnant in case of emergency.
