Funny. Was just telling my DD he thinks he is Midas, poor Ivanka. I thought this was such a great punch in the face.

That was so embarrassing and low-class - even for trump supporters. Ugly, ugly people.

It is truly pathetic that you think that is an apt comparison. It tells me everything I need to know about you, PP.

It was the Guggenheim, not the Whitney.

Trump has actual gold toilets, but probably only plate. So why shouldn't he appreciate the Guggenheim's offer?

Obama is not a Muslim, but I doubt he'd fail to appreciate the beauty of Arabic calligraphy.

Fail. You are really dumb. Come up with a better analogy.

For one thing, the Obamas would have made appropriate requests, not of institutions outside the government, or for insanely popular pieces or for pieces that have just come back from travel. For another thing, the Obamas would recognize the beauty that is Arabic (not "Muslim") calligraphy. You should look it up sometime.

Why? Because he was a secret muslim?

Trump has an actual gold toilet in his house, they wanted to make him feel at home.

I find this very appropriate. Not the toilet so much as the gold. It's funny, of course, but I don't think Trump would be offended, honestly. I think he'd like it and see the humor in it (if it worked and was sanitized, obviously).

Not EVERYTHING is offensive.

offensive perhaps no, disrespectful yes

i tough only liberal find everything offensive...

I don't get it. The Guggenheim offered the Trumps a valuable work of art that's an icon of Trump's unique achievements. Why the sense of offense?
