That's what I was going to say. There's a big difference. Like, at a party, were you both fighting about whether to leave the party or not? You want to stay, he wants to go.....so he leaves you at the party.

Very different than having a fight at an airport. Were you coming back from vacation all together and took separate cabs home? Did he come pick you up from your trip and you fought so he said "find your own way home!"? were you leaving on a trip and he was waiting with you....then you fought and he didn't want to wait with you anymore?

Each of these examples IMO have different levels of severity.

We had a couple of stupid drunken arguments where one of us stormed off from the party and went home without the other -- way back when we were just dating. It's not a good look, but I don't think it's the end of the world either. Leaving someone at the airport seems like it's a different scenario -- like you were supposed to go on a trip together and he bailed at the gate? That's pretty OTT.

Oh no, airport parties were a "thing" and could be a LOT of fun LOL. You didn't actually fly anywhere but sort of went around in a group asking for directions, where is gate so-and-so? and that kind of thing. It was back around the time pet snakes and dancing in place were so popular. Time flies LOL!

I'm continually shocked at how many people do not know how to actually communicate. No, my DH and I do not leave each other somewhere during a fight, we do not fight in public and when we disagree about something, we calmly talk about rationally and don't "fight" in private either.

My ex husband did this. More times than I can count. We had a very dysfunctional relationship. Thankfully, I was never in a relationship like this prior to him or since him.
