what about doc review as a staff attorney or for a federal contractor where you have benefits vs decision writer? I wasn’t referring to temp doc review but that is the most common kind.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:whats worse being a decision writer or in doc review ?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This job is a black hole. Made the mistake of taking this job immediately after law school when I was seeking a launchpad into the feds. This is 100% accurate. The same holds for similar admin attorney jobs at SSA and HHS.
Doc review x1000. At least as fed you get benefits, paid leave, predictable work week, etc. And often there are opportunities for special workgroups and details to get experience outside your niche. Not everyone will rise to the top, but there is a career path there if you want it.
40s. I’ve tried with no success and have zero connections . However I can say every accomplishment I’ve made , which isn’t much, is solely due to my own effortsAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:that too. Are you in your 20s or early 30s? If so, why not change professions? You don't need to be a lawyer. Find a job you like.
