OP, congrats. Great kid!

For all Pitt alums, I have some questions.
- How is Pitt for Premed?
- Which is better for premed Honors or regular? I know Honors classes are considered harder to get grades but much better attention and faculty/student ratio.
Does Pitt undergrad get any preference for Pitt Med school admission?

Toured Pitt in summer and loved it. DC has Honors admission and half ride offer. Waiting for VA in-state results. DC interested in premed/neuroscience.

that's fantastic, OP!

I'm an alum and it's a great school. Tell her to take advantage of the entire city. The entire city is her campus - not just Oakland. Make sure she goes to museums, shows, etc with her student ID!

Congrats OP.

DD got into Pitt - with a 3.6 GPA and 31 ACT, and no merit aid - and I am very proud of that. You must be over the moon with your daughter's accomplishments.

In May/june she took a ton of AP tests, along with regents and county foreign language tests, all that on top of Finals. She wasn't taking another SAT. She was done. The downside of what this system has evolved to for those who choose to partake. She also said no to SAT prep totally.

ah ok - fair point.

Pitt is a good school.

1460 sat and 16 ap's is weird.

i was expecting 1500+

how many 4's/5's in the ap tests she's taken?

You’re obnoxious. That is a fantastic score.

OP, I am the one that asked about the 16. Good for her. It sounds like your daughter has worked her off. I hope she is happy and can enjoy the rest of her Senior year. My Junior is VERY interested in Pitt. It is popular at her private.

No I wasn't trying to be - when I hear someone taking 16+ ap's, that's usually the 1500+ scoring kids. No lie.
