Ironically the largest study done on human sexual behavior found the number one thing men like in women is smiling, in for women smiling came in dead last. Meaning it was the least attractive and sexually appealing trait a man displays. Women also rated faithfulness as unattractive.
Women by survey and brain scans responded better and were more attracted to aggression, confrontational, arrogant and power or perceived as highly regarded. Hard to put that in a profile but smiling happy go lucky = low response.

I agree that travel pics are so lame. Mentioning your passport and that you like to travel is also very lame. Everyone has a passport and travels, it's like saying you wear shirts everyday.
That would be nice but the purpose of a profile is to attract women not weed yourself out. They arent writing profiles for you, its to serve their needs not yours.

Guys saying they have kids is fine, but its a safety risk for women. I'd rather not be searchable by that criteria.
As far as travel, I disagree. However, if you "go on vacation" occasionally that's not really a love of travel. If you've loved abroad and travel extensively and that's one of your sole pursuits, then do mention it! It's a lifestyle choice.

2) Give me something to message you about. "I once lived in Peru - ask me my favorite (but crazy) food dish from there." Or "Ask me about what happened when I ran into John Wayne in Nashville"
3) No pictures of exs or random hot girls, makes me wonder if you are a player.
4) Boil down what and who you are looking for minus cliches like down to earth.

Make certain the photos are reasonably current. Like within 3-5 years. Make certain your face is clearing visible. Skip the. photos of you with other people.
Do not take the picture of you with your car as chances are I am not into dating your car.
If you have strong preferences re politics or religion, state that upfront. What are the top four things you do every week; are any of those things we can do together, preferably outside as many of us spend every week day indoors.
