+1. The school cannot control who your daughter dates, only you can. The issue is the lack of control you have on your daughter. It is not that crazy to have a 20 year old student in school if they have an IEP or are ELL.
A 20 year old man should not be a student in a traditional high school with 13/14/15 year old freshmen and sophomores.
The high school age cap needs to be 19 cor a senior and anyone older needs to be moved to an alternative school.
If they can prevent an adult employee from preying on the children, they can also prevent an adult student from doing so. This 20-year-old man doesn't get to be considered as a "minor" because he's enrolled in school.

Really - there are laws on dating? Can you point to those. I have never heard of laws on ages of teens dating. So if a 14 and 19 year old go to a movie together - the 19 year old could be arrested if one of them says it was a date?

Actually, I don't think OP is a troll. Something similar happened to my daughter when she was a 14-year old freshman, and the outcome was about as bad as you can possibly imagine.

it may be the law in your state and local jurisdiction but every states and local jurisdictions has its own law. You can't apply california law in virginia unless the crime is committed in california.

But that isn't the law, and until it is (which it won't be)- it is not up to the school to police who is dating who.
The law needs to be modified.
There is no reasonable justification for requiring high schools to allow 20-21 year old adults to attend school with the general student population.

I met my now DH when I was 15 and he was 20. We did not meet in school though, he was in college at that point. We are in our 30s now with kids, doing well. Why don’t you get to know the guy before freaking out? Your approach may ruin your relationship with your daughter.
