No. They died for their own sins, and you will die for yours without a Savior. Only Christ as the sinless God incarnate could die for YOUR sins.

You are completely misguided. Keep reading the next two verses. Here they are so you don't have to look them up:

John 3:17-18: "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."

This passage says EXACTLY what you say it doesn't.
