Our kids got into a great DCPS a few blocks away from our house. Then six years later, our oldest got into a charter middle/high school that is incomparably better than the schools I grew up with. Meanwhile, we get to keep our short commutes and nice community.

Idiot. Go finish that last glass of wine and pass out. Your regular routine.
Bluemont is honestly becoming as hot as neighboring Westover. The poster who likened Westover to the Upper East Side and Bluemont to Staten Island isn't drinking wine, she's hitting the bong.
Huh? Westover has a cute downtown with the Italian Store, a farmer’s market, Lebanese Taverna, etc. Bluemont has a clock repair shop and a Safeway that is barely functional.
That's right. Westover has the Village which has caused housing prices to rise. Bluemont houses tend to be less expensive, thus its increased popularity
Perhaps MONA could have a housing economist explain supply and demand to you and the other SAHMs
LOL. Guess you haven't met too many SAHMs in these parts. Some were the housing economists.
Tell us more about "the Village". Sounds like you are very knowledgeable.![]()

They finally tore down that wall between Bluemont and Westover. So now citizens can travel freely between the two neighborhoods that are right next to each other.![]()
The Wall is down, but everything south of Washington Blvd. remains under oppressive Communist rule, and it is difficult to bring supplies to the impoverished citizens.
