I don't discount white men, or lower income people, or rural areas of the country. If we want to turn this around, we have to stop believing and talking as if people are just stupid. Yes, some very clearly are but they're outnumbered. Despite that, the public discourse is still carried out on the terms of stupid people.
I think the first step is simply to stop talking to those people. They always identify themselves - make a note of that and move on.
Flipping things at the national level has to be grassroots - state and local level - because that's how Republicans did it.
It is not immoral unless you think the history and governance of the United States is immoral. With you patronizing, elitist attitude, I understand your unfortunate judgment. Keep it up, and the optic will not change.
