Interesting and varied responses.
Anyway this happened last week when I (DW) was sick. DH wanted to go to the guest bedroom.
He ended up staying in our bedroom..
We have 9 month old twins who are not yet sleeping through the night reliably. You can't hear them from the guest room and the guest room is further away from where they sleep.

If you would want your own room when you're sick, why don't you give your DH the same space by going to a different room when he is sick? Why do you stick around and rub his back? Would you want someone rubbing your back when you're trying to fall asleep while sick?

That's nice, but doesn't mean you have a stronger marriage because of it.
When my husband got the flu on a cruise, you bet your ass I went to sleeping on the couch immediately. Not comfortable at all, and I figured I'd still get sick since we were in that tiny room, but amazingly I didn't. I figured one of us needed to be well for the trip home.
When? When did I suggest my marriage was stronger? Project much?

Sick spouse definitely goes to the guest room in my book.
Sick spouse shouldn’t be dealing with the kids in the middle of the night because he’ll infect the kids and he also feels terrible
