+1 on him being a jerk for commenting on what your kids eat. The diet is great for me but kids need those carbs, no question, unless there is a medical reason to restrict them.

This and tell him to use protein powder..

Ugh. A friend of mine does the keto diet and his breath literally smells like poop all the time. It's really gross. I can't imagine dating him.

Everyone I know at the half or full iron distance eats carbs by the truck load! My colleague trains about 25 hrs/ week.

Dh is doing something similar...heavy on meat, but started drinking whey (mixed with milk) too.

Also, dh hits the gym for a solid workout daily.

Dh was grumpy for awhile as his body got used to the minimal carbs, then plateaued, and now he seems adjusted.

Will your dh consider whey over excessive meat or adding in exercise?

So much misinformation out there; keto diets are low carb, moderate protein, high fat.

While you are correct, he probably IS eating a lot more protein than he was before b/c the carbs that he likely used to eat are gone (or minimal). So, while the diet is moderate protein, it's still likely more than before, which is probably why that comment was made.

Doesn't matter what he did before or after or why he's eating meat. If he's consuming a lot of meat (to the point that OP noticed), her husband is probably not on a keto diet. But that's beside the point; he changes his diet and he's probably being obnoxious about its merits. I don't think he suddenly got dirtier.

OP sounds obnoxious herself and sounds jealous of his progress.

You are misinformed.

What?? Those are a blast! I loved doing them back when I was single. Now I can't get DH to do them with me, and the only other people I know who would do them with me are men, which DH isn't okay with.

I highly recommend all women do them and then go check out the group "showers" afterwards. Lots of fit men stripping down to their undies
