To answer the question, I imagine that Stratford will be a mixture of Williamsburg and Swanson.
Can you help me understand what that means?
Unless you are asking people to spit out their predjudices about the children who attend different schools you just won’t get a satisfying, honest answer to this question. Personally, I know lots of awesome, friendly kids at both Williamsburg and Swanson; I have had kids at both. And there are a few who aren’t so awesome, just like at any middle school.
I guess the stereotypes would be helpful - I've heard that there's a lot of wealthy families at Wmsbrg, but that doesn't seem like an inherently bad thing.
It’s bad when kids get into drugs.

I love walkable neighborhood schools -- and I know some folks have other priorities -- but I think it adds some cohesion to the neighborhood.
By "new school" do you mean the new MS? Those kids will not be walking. They could, but their parents will drive them, because they think the traffic is dangerous. Or they'll drive them because the bus comes too early.

During Stratford design they demonstrated the HAWK crosswalk which be placed across from fire station.

My kids will be walking - live 5 blocks away across Lee Highway. There actually is an old tunnel under Lee Highway that was used when it was Stratford before. Perhaps it will be reopened.
