It seems to me that your husband may be a little overwhelmed with some part of his life. Perhaps his job is wearing on him? Responsibilities in the home can also be a contributing factor. When your husband was in college, he didn't have the same responsibilities as he does now. Some men take everything upon their shoulders and refuse to ask for help. The don't vent like women do. Finances can be troublesome. House repairs can be a source of frustration. Spending time alone with you would be a great mood booster, I'm sure. Sometimes, as parents, we forget about our spouse. Maybe he is feeling a little lost at the moment and just needs some TLC. I think it is instilled in a man to lead and take care of his family. I imagine that this can be exhausting. In regards to social events, maybe you can start with small outings that just involve you and the kids and then work up to bigger events. Does he take vacations? If he can take some time off that would be a great time to unwind and spend quality time together. Figure out what you both enjoy and then make plans together. Get him involved in the process. Life can be such an undertaking as times. I hope the best for you and your family!
