Actually, some of those McK-Kenmore split in the 2nd would then go to WL. It's totally fractured.

Parts of Tuckahoe and McKinely go to Gunston:

Alignment means consistent pyramids of schools (Elem -> Same MS -> same HS)? That won't be happening.

No one in McKinley or Tuckahoe would go to Gunston, look at the dang map. Are you referring to Kenmore?

And, that would have alignment- part of McK->Kenmore->Yorktown (others McK->Swanson->Yorktown). It's not uncommon to have an ES split between MS, and here the kids would be back together for HS

No, that's Kenmore. Gunston is purple.

Sorry I meant Kenmore. A much larger swath of McK goes to Kenmore in the alignment map, including much of glebe

Blended maps are the bottom five on this page. https://www.apsva.us/middle-school-boundary-illustrative-draft-maps/

So looks like a lot of Williamsburg and Swanson blends into current TJ and Gunston (especially west neighborhoods near Mckinely man those people get the shaft -- over crowded elem and then rezoned to Gunston)

Of course Discovery/Nottingham/Jamestown stay in their preferred MS, so just blending among the less monied folks.

I don't think we need to be turning walkers into bus riders, but if you're a bus rider anyway, there are some reasonable PU shifts that could happen to move us in the right direction.

Fine. Bus your minorities over to us. I'm fine with that, but I'm not putting my kid on a longer bus ride to satisfy you.

We already board a bus at 7am.

You ride the bus with your child? God help this generation.

Whatever, douche. Next time buy a house in a decent school zone instead of whining that now everyone else kids should be bused over so your kid isn't the only white one.
